Howdy! My name is Molly Rose AKA Country Drummer Girl on TikTok. Born and raised in NorCal living in Los Angeles and finishing my Bachelors degree at Musicians Institute.

I have been drumming since I was 8 and have had the privilege to play/record for a wide variety of artists from Country to RnB. Some artists I have worked with are Madison Hudson, Tamara Kumbula, Pretty Havoc, and toured with Fransico Martin.

Ultimately I want to inspire not only females, but everyone, to work hard and follow their dreams. Happiest when behind my drum set, I want my life to forever be filled with music and to be a part of the music industry!

My parents tell me when I was 3 I would bang on pots and pans and I had the ability to keep a beat. For my 7th birthday I received a First Act drum set. At 8, I started learning drum rudiments and taking lessons. My first gig was playing at a Christian summer camp for a week when I was 9. From that summer gig I knew I had an extreme passion for drumming and all I wanted to be was a drummer. In 2016 at the age of 16, I placed 2nd Runner Up in the international ‘Hit Like A Girl’ Drumming Contest. This was a turning point that gave me a lot of exposure and opened so many doors. From 2017-2019 I attended William Jessup University, majoring in music with an emphasis in drums. I was the lead drummer for the 100 plus member University Choir and Orchestra. From 2016-2019 I toured California and Nevada with a country band, The Madison Hudson Band. I was the drummer, percussionist and sang harmony. Our biggest honors as a band was performing at a Brad Paisley After Party and opening for Chris Lane and Maggie Rose. We also performed at the Iowa State Fair. In the summer of 2019 I decided I wanted to leave my comfortable life in Northern California and move to Los Angeles to earn my Bachelor’s of Music in drums at the Musicians Institute. Since moving to LA I have been working with all different types of bands ranging from Country to R&B. Pretty Havoc is a band I enjoy setting the beat for, singing and doing the drum arrangements for our original songs. I also drum with Trap/Rap Artist Tamara Kumbula and have toured with Fransico Martin. In late 2020 I began to post drumming videos on Tik Tok under the name “CountryDrummerGirl”. My platform has given me the opportunity to work with UMG Nasvhille to do campaigns for artists such as Jon Pardi and Shania Twain.   I love being a female drummer, as we are pretty rare. My passion is to show that girls can drum and it is not just a “guy thing.” Ultimately I want to inspire not only females, but everyone, to work hard and follow their dreams.
